RS-232 bus terminal ESD protection greater than ±15kV HBM, meets or exceeds TIA/EIA-232-F and ITU V.28 standard requirements, powered by 3V to 5.5V VCC supply, operates at data rates up to 250kbps, two drivers and two receivers, low supply current: 300μA (typical), external capacitors: 4×0.1μF, accepts 5V logic inputs with 3.3V supply, optional high-speed terminal-compatible device (1Mbps). The TRS3232 device consists of two line drivers, two line receivers, and a dual charge pump circuit, with ±15kV ESD protection between terminals (serial port connector terminals, including GND). The device meets TIA/EIA-232-F requirements and provides an electrical interface between asynchronous communication controllers and serial port connectors. The charge pump and four small external capacitors support operation from a single 3V to 5.5V supply. These devices operate at data signaling rates up to 250kbps with a maximum driver output slew rate of 30V/μs.
