Overview
The 4056H is a linear lithium battery charge management IC with an input voltage rating up to 30V, OVP protection, and constant-current/constant-voltage charging mode. The chip adopts an internal PMOSFET architecture with a built-in reverse-charge prevention circuit, eliminating the need for external diodes. A thermal feedback mechanism adaptively regulates the charging current, limiting it under high-power applications or elevated ambient temperature conditions. The end-of-charge cutoff voltage is available in two specifications: 4.2V and 4.35V. The charging current can be externally adjusted via a resistor connected to the Prog pin. When the charging current drops to 1/10 of the programmed value after reaching the final float voltage, the IC automatically terminates the constant-voltage charging process. When the input power is removed, the IC automatically enters a low-power mode, reducing the battery leakage current to below 0.1 μA. The 4056H is available in ESOP8, DFN2x2-8L, and DFN3x3-8L packages, all featuring an exposed thermal pad on the bottom.
