JSM1040T

JSM1040T meets or exceeds the specifications in ISO11898 for controller area network applications. The device functions as a CAN transceiver, providing differential transmission and reception for CAN controllers at signal transmission rates up to 1 Mbps. It is designed for reliable operation in harsh environments, featuring ±12 kV ESD protection on bus pins, bus voltage range from -58V to 58V, and built-in over-temperature and short-circuit protection circuits. The STB input pin selects between high-speed mode and low-power bus-monitoring standby mode. Pulling STB low selects high-speed operating mode. When STB is driven logic high, the device enters low-power bus-monitoring standby mode. In this mode, dominant bits on the bus lasting longer than 5 μs are passed through the bus-monitoring circuit to the receiver output. When data transmission to the bus is required, the local protocol controller can reactivate the device.
