Overview
IP2320 is a boost charging management IC supporting dual-cell series-connected lithium battery/Li-ion battery. The device integrates power MOS and adopts a synchronous switching architecture, requiring minimal external components in application while effectively reducing overall solution size and lowering BOM cost. Its boost switching charge converter operates at 400KHz; conversion efficiency reaches 92% under 5V input and 8V/1A output conditions. The IC features input undervoltage protection, intelligently adjusting charge current to adaptively match adapter load capability, preventing adapter overload. It supports charge current setting via LED pin resistor with 4 selectable constant-current charge levels. It also supports external resistor adjustment of charge voltage with continuous voltage adjustment capability. The device integrates NTC protection functionality, enabling charge NTC protection in conjunction with a 10K NTC resistor. IP2320 is available in an ESOP8 package.
