Overview
The JSM4056 is a single-cell lithium-ion battery constant-current/constant-voltage linear charger. Its simple external application circuit makes it ideal for portable device applications, compatible with both USB power and adapter power sources. An internal reverse-charge protection circuit eliminates the need for an external isolation diode. Thermal feedback automatically adjusts the charging current to limit the chip temperature during high-power operation or elevated ambient temperature conditions. The charge termination voltage is 4.2V, and the charging current can be set via an external resistor. When the charging current drops to 1/10 of the set value, the charging process terminates automatically. When the input voltage is removed, the device automatically enters a low-current standby state, with standby current reduced to 1uA.
