Overview
JSM6056 is a single-cell Li-ion battery constant-current/constant-voltage linear charger with 30V input voltage tolerance and overcharge protection. Its simple external application circuit makes it ideal for portable devices, compatible with both USB power and adapter power sources. The device features an internally integrated PMOSFET architecture and anti-backflow circuitry, eliminating the need for external isolation diodes. A thermal feedback mechanism automatically adjusts the charge current to limit die temperature during high-power operation or in high-temperature environments. The charge termination voltage is 4.2V, and the charge current is programmable via an external resistor. Charging terminates automatically when the charge current drops to 1/5 of the programmed value. When the input voltage is removed, the device automatically enters a low-current sleep state.
