Overview
The MAX485CSA is a transceiver IC for RS-485 and RS-422 communication systems, supporting data rates up to 2.5Mbps and operating in half-duplex mode. The device features driver enable and receiver enable pins; when disabled, both driver and receiver outputs enter a high-impedance state. Additionally, the MAX485CSA integrates a failsafe function — when the receiver inputs are open or shorted, the receiver output is held high.
